After his 2 year stint at the Indraprastha Apollo hospital, New Delhi, he joined Christchurch Public Hospital, Christchurch New Zealand. This hospital was the referral hospital for the South Island and here he gained valuable experience in cardiac surgery especially CABG.

Advanced Fellow in Mayo Clinic, USA

He was selected as an advanced cardiac surgery fellow at the world famous Mayo Clinic. The Mayo Clinic is the is one of the top three medical schools in the US and the cardiac surgery pogramme is one of the best. Here he got exposed to all types of cardiac surgery specially redo CABG surgery, beating heart surgery, aortic surgery and congenital cardiac surgery.

He did a special 6 month rotation in cardiopulmonary transplantation.

This international experience was gained under some of the best cardiac surgeons of the world.
